Rex A. Maximilian received his degree from the University of
Oklahoma, School of Architecture. He has resided in Honolulu
since 1989. Previous to partnering Envision ATS in 1993, he has
worked as a CAD manager with a large Honolulu based architectural firm. He has also
taught CAD classes at the University of Hawaii, School of Architecture.
Maximilian Architectural Technology Services, formerly
Envision ATS, has been servicing the architectural community of
Honolulu and the state of Hawaii since 1993.
MaxATS focuses on technological solutions for the architectural
and builder trades. 3D modeling and visualizations to CAD
production drawings or graphic design and corporate identity
packages to web site design and production, and from Archicad
sales to architectural specific training seminars for CAD and
related software, MaxATS can do it all. MaxATS also serves as a
webmaster and committee member for the AIA/Honolulu Chapter
web site.
MaxATS has provided start-up templates that ship with
Archicad for the past several years.
John Stebbins, Associate AIA, is the founder and Principal of
Digital Vision Automation, Inc. a firm that provides tools and
training for design professionals, offering regional software sales
and support for Archicad, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and Piranesi.
He has earned a BS degree in Urban Planning from Iowa State
University and has 12 years of experience as a residential remodeler
and custom home designer/builder.
John has taught multimedia and digital design classes at UCI
Extension, UCLA Extension, and has provided computer training
to numerous film industry professionals. He is also one of the
founding members of the GDL Alliance.
Digital Vision has been an Archicad Value Added Reseller in
southern California since 1988 and was the second reseller
chosen to represent Archicad in the US.
Melisa Pence, AIA is a licensed architect with
a broad range of project experience. As a part of the Sports Group at HNTB in Irvine from 1995 to 2000, Melisa worked on large Football stadium renovations and the design of new
Minor League Ballparks. In addition to Sports Architecture, Melisa was involved in numerous Live Venue/Amphitheatre and Hospitality projects. She joined Bauer and Wiley Architects,
located in Newport Beach, in 2000, and has acted as the Archicad in-house trainer, Project Architect, and Project Manager for renovations and new construction. Her experience at Bauer
and Wiley includes interiors, education, and automotive/retail projects.
Melisa graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1995. While attending Cal Poly, she enjoyed a year of study abroad in Florence, Italy. Food, Wine and Travel
have been her passions ever since. Melisa was raised in a bi-lingual household and is fluent in Spanish.
Duane Valencia is a pioneer of digital architecture and BIM and has been beta testing ArchiCAD since 1990.
He orchestrated the ArchiCAD University West convention that brings together
some of the most talented ArchiCAD users, students and representatives from
many software manufacturers. His skill and in-depth understanding of ArchiCAD has made him one of the leaders
in the use of BIM for projects.
Duane has taught many courses with Digital Vision and ArchiCAD
University England in the use of ArchiCAD to produce construction documents. He is also
the co-founder and vice President of the GDL Alliance.
Duane has been a licensed architect since 1992 and has been involved with a variety of architectural projects
ranging from low income housing to planning a five-hundred room hotel and
casino complex. He has been the project architect on numerous large scale single family
custom homes using Building Information Modeling.
